New York Prenatal Leave
Effective January 1, 2025, NY became the first state to require employers to provide up to 20 hours of paid prenatal leave per 52-week period for pregnant employees. This leave can be used for prenatal medical appointments such as physical exams, monitoring and testing, and discussions with healthcare providers.
